Weekend Review: Lukshon

Spicy Chicken "Lollipops"

With all of the recent traveling and holiday events, it’s been tough to find the right time to go on a proper dinner date with my boyfriend. Our list of new restaurants to try has been growing massively and we were finally able to check one off this weekend. We chose Culver City's Lukshon, whose owner is behind L.A.’s famed bar and restaurant Father’s Office (home to my boyfriend’s favorite burger of all time). They served authentic Asian cuisine – so authentic that half the words on the menu are in a foreign tongue – but the dishes are something that any food lover can get behind. All their plates are small and served family-style, so it's a great way to try and bunch of dishes in one sitting. Our favorites were the renowned chicken lollipops and the dan dan noodles, which burst with flavor and packed a spicy kick.
